Is or is not Power Basic going to release a Linux version of the
compiler? I've seen messages on Google Group going back nearly 5 years
where they claimed they were working on one.

If Power Basic isn't going to do it, I wish they'd just tell us all now.

Use your best judgment.

I doubt they will. Supporting all the many "flavors" of Linux is a pain for
proprietary (non-Open Source) products. Those who try generally specify
only one or two flavors that are supported.

I hear there will be one.. Hope so..

Have you tried qb2c (www.bastoc.com) It is QBASIC compatible and has
X11 support..
