Are there plans for a Macintosh version of PowerBasic, or at least the
ability to compile to Macintosh?

Thanks,

They have been talking about a Linux version for the last 5 or more
years and that hasn't happened yet but I have not heard any talk of a
Mac version so I doubt there are plans.

It's fairly easy to make a program run on Linux, BSD and
Macintosh OS X, but it can be very difficult to port a
program that depends on certain windows components.

Has anyone tried to get PB/CC running under linux using WINE?
See [ http://www.winehq.com/ ]. Is there anything like WINE
for the Mac that might run PB/CC? (I say PB/CC because it
seems to be the least wedded to Windows.)
