Lets hope you are right but even if you are, when I stick my head into
Usenet to talk to a couple of people that I know, I don't need some
dimwit with his mouth in overdrive, brain in neutral and DICK in hand
trying to dictate who I talk to or what I write.

Understand that and you will understand why Usenet is a clapped out
heap of sh*t that is endlessly subject to this form of abuse, people
hiding behind some bullsh*t FAKE ID so they can spew whatever sh*t
they like in the cowardice of anonymity.

Have no fear about this, I track Usenet over periods of years so it
may be worth you holding your breath waiting for your prediction to
happen.

Can anyone here explain why, exactly, Steve Hutchesson has taken on this
role as you mention?

What stake does he have in promoting PowerBasic or it's user forums? Is
he a co-owner? A close friend of Bob Zale?

What motivated him to come here, out of the blue, and attack the
attackers of PowerBASIC and Bob Zale?

Looks like Hutch just has got himself a pair of new compilers. Also notice
Bob Zale's acknowledgement of Hutch. I have never before this from Mr. Zale
towards anyone else; just based on some source code.

Ola,

I will let you in on a little secret, my current account in the peer
forum is 10 years old and I used to have an earlier account under the
nick of "hutch" so I have been there a long time. Just happens to be
that I primarily develop in Microsoft assembler so I don't always have
that much time to frequent other forums as I run one myself.

Differing from a few who haunt this place I get on fine with the
vendor but that also goes for his staff over years, Dave Navarro,
Lance Edmonds, Tom Hanlin and others. Like a vast number of other
people who are PAYING CUSTOMERS I support a small company surviving in
a world of massive corporations and take exception to a bunch of
cowards hiding behind anonymous names criticising a number of people
that I have known for years.

Now there is a simple solution to getting yourself a pair of new
compilers, BUY THEM !

I just added the butt head to my killfile and that is that.
It is a trivial matter to add any future pseudonyms to the same.
Judicious use of the killfile and various filter setting are the only
way to keep the noise level down to the point that USENET is still a
viable source of information.
