Is there any way I can get PB-DOS programs to run in
XP-Pro?
I can open PB edit/write programs, etc. But when "Run"
is selected the machine locks up. It isn't the program---
it runs fine on in PB-DOS on a Win ME machine.

I've used PB-DOS 3.5 for years under Windows XP Professional on several
different machines and never had the slightest problem to get the programs
I've written to run. These programs included quite a lot of file handling
and serial interface programming, all no problem. And they run either from
the compiler IDE or in a seperate DOS box as .exe files.

Works fine for me. Maybe something's funny with the install, or paths,
or something.

Try the command line compiler by itself, just to get some more info on
the situation.

I can open PB-DOS in a DOS window, load, save, and edit programs.
But, if I either choose "run" (F9) or Compile, the DOS window blanks
and nothing happens. It taked a forced close to get back to my
computer! Others say it PB-DOS works in their XP. On the old machine
with Win ME, PB DOS works fine -- any help or ideas appreciated.
If I call "Command" I vcan't even get the XP machuine to change
directories with DOS commands!
