This may be a radical idea, but by golly, I am going to post something!
see next post. BTW, I will be crossposting to the newsgroup I moderate
so that I can tell my moderation robot to pre-approve any posts that
come in from comp.lang.basic.powerbasic/alt.lang.powerbasic readers,

I forgot that I have my modbot set to only allow crossposts to one
other newsgroup, so I had to drop comp.lang.basic.powerbasic's
drooling half-brother, alt.lang.powerbasic. :)

Oh, I check pretty much every day.

But that's not really a fair comparison. It's been so long since I set up
the Outlook Express 'synchronize newsgroup' options I no longer have a clue
how to change it.

I consign to YARN. Life is too short to keep up with the
heavy groups, so I used search terms in google groups beta for
them.

Cool, one of some other newsreaders for DOS. ;-)

By the way: I'm using CrossPoint (called XP <g>). XP it's a Freeware-
DOS mail- & newsreader for Fido, Usenet (UUCP, IMAP, POP3, SMTP & NNTP),

I use Agent; when I tell it to "get new headers in subscribed groups" it
checks them both.
